DirectRooms.com – Runners compete in The Cambridge Cambourne 10K on 3 April 2011
The Cambridge Cambourne 10K run is, once again, being held to raise money for local charities. This year’s main charity is the Teenage Cancer Trust. Since 2009, this community sponsored run has raised more than £18,000 for charity.
[UKPRwire, Thu Mar 03 2011] Come and join the run on 3rd April 2011 as hundreds of fellow residents take part in the annual run for charity. Now in its third year, the Cambridge Cambourne 10K run appeals to runners of all levels. The distance of the course is long enough to be challenging for most but short enough to be accessible to all participants.
The Cambridge Cambourne 10K run begins at 11 am on 3rd April. It has an entry limit of 1250 runners. All runners have signed up via the Internet prior to the event day. No entries are accepted on the day of the run. All runners must be at least 15 years old.
Fees for the 10K run are £14, or £12 for UKA-affiliated runners.
For visitors staying in Cambridge hotels, questions about the event can be sent to Laura Woodcock.
The Cambridge Cambourne Fun Run is the sister event of the 10K run, and is ideal for those who would like to participate but are not keen on long distance running. The course distance is just one mile. Participant numbers are limited to 300. All entries must be received online prior to the day of the run. Fees for the fun run are £5. All runners must be at least nine years old on the race day.
