WIL CHUNG JOINS BEAUMOND HOUSE COMMUNITY HOSPICE AS FUNDRAISING & MARKETING MANAGER
As part of the continuation and expansion of services to the local community, Beaumond House Community Hospice has appointed Wil Chung as the new Fundraising & Marketing Manager
[UKPRwire, Tue Aug 18 2009] Wil Chung has joined Beaumond House Community Hospice as the new Fundraising and Marketing Manager. Mr. Chung is a resident of Newark and was educated at Lilley & Stone School and has gained a degree in Marketing from the University of Westminster.
Mr. Chung says “My father was cared for in a hospice before his death from liver cancer, so I understand the care and support offered by hospices. I was very surprised to learn that Beaumond House requires over £1/2 million each year to continue its services to the local community with around 75% kindly donated by the people of Newark, the remainder provided in the form of a grant from Nottinghamshire County Primary Care Trust.” Managing director, Mr. Patrick Fisher, said Mr. Chung was joining at an exciting time when the hospice was expanding its community services.
Mr. Chung’s primary aim is to raise the profile of Beaumond House within the local community, to help increase the level of donations as well as the number of volunteers to assist in the Shops, House and Fundraising events. “Without the help of all of our volunteers Beaumond House would cease to exist in its present form. It is important to support all volunteers in their efforts, which I intend to do with my marketing and events knowledge where-ever possible.”
Fundraising events are high up on the agenda with the fundraising team already working on some new ideas ready for 2010. “We don’t want to let the cat out of the bag yet, however it is safe to say that we are going to create a lot of noise and with it raise more income for Beaumond House so that we can not only continue to offer our services to the community, but to improve and expand upon them.”
