Niche TV show celebrates 4th Christmas . . .
Niche TV show the Caravan Channel is celebrating this Christmas as its 4th in permanent fortnightly production.
[UKPRwire, Tue Dec 22 2009] Christmas 2009 is the Caravan Channel TV programme’s 4th Christmas in permanent fortnightly production, broadcasting on Sky 166 and Freesat 402, and online.
Producer and presenter Chris Gosling said, “We’ve made over 80 half-hour TV shows, that’s 40 hours of content, and our video website has over 20 hours of online content. In the past year, viewers have met the MD’s of Bailey Caravans and Elddis Caravans, as well as other major decision makers in the business, and been have taken around the Bailey, Elddis and Vanmaster factories, as well as seeing the first publicly published showings of the Bailey Pegasus, and a number of other brand new caravans.”
“During 2009 year we’ve driven over 15,000 miles to get to the factories, shows and events we’ve covered, and (amazingly, I think!) given away free draw prizes valued at over £6,000 in total. Our broadcaster says our broadcast TV audience is now over 150,000 per show, and our principal sponsor is so pleased with their performance with us, they’ve just signed up for 2010″.
He added, “Over the time, we’ve had our ups and downs, but we have been sustained by the terrific support of our viewers and online friends. We’ve always had a very clear separation between editorial and advertising, and our viewers are very aware that when we like something, we say so, and when don’t we don’t bother . .”
“A number of people have tried to copy our example, but sadly, none seem to survive for long. Usually, they made the mistake of substituting appearance for content – but we work extremely hard to make our content, and spend surprisingly large amounts on making the programmes - and the difference shows.”
The Caravan Channel is on air on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday evenings at 7pm on Information TV, Sky channel 166/Freesat 402, and at the same time via the website at www.caravanchannel.tv
