Models Direct: Celebrity Campaign Shows Age No Barrier to Modelling Career
Celebrity women of all ages and backgrounds will try their hand at becoming a model for the first time in a new breast cancer campaign.
[UKPRwire, Thu Apr 16 2009] Among the celebrities participating in the campaign are the Duchess of York, the 49 year old mother of Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie. The Duchess and dozens of other celebrities can be seen modelling the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer clothing range on millionmodelcatwalk.com.
The celebrity modelling campaign will help to raise money for breast cancer research. Visitors to the millionmodelcatwalk.com website can purchase clothing to raise funds.
While this is the first taste of a modelling career for the Duchess, who will also appear in posters for the campaign, some of the other famous participants in the campaign have had more experience in the modelling industry.
Take Abigail Clancy for example, the 23 year old model and girlfriend of England football star Peter Crouch. Clancy has already been working as a model for some time.
Other stars appearing in the campaign include television presenter June Sarpong, radio presenter Sara Cox, and Rolling Stones daughters Leah Wood and Jade Jagger.
Damian OThere have been real changes in the modelling industry over recent years,OA decade or two ago it would have been very unusual to use women who were not professional models to front a campaign like this. But public attitudes and industry practice have shifted over time, so that it now seems very normal for these celebrities to become a model for the purpose of the campaign.Connor.
