Major manufacturers advertise with niche TV show
The Caravan Channel, the UK's most successful niche TV programme, attracts major manufacturer advertising.
[UKPRwire, Wed Feb 10 2010] The Caravan Channel, a fortnightly half-hour TV programme catering exclusively for the interests of caravan, motorhome and trailer tent campers, is now attracting advertising from the caravan and motorhome industries' major players.
With an estimated audience of around 150,000 viewers per programme broadcast, and an online audience of around 10,000 per edition, the latest edition premiering on Wednesday 10th February includes advertising from the £200M pa Swift Group and the £80M pa Bailey Caravans.
"After nearly 4 years and 80 editions of the programme, in which we have built what must be one of the most dedicated niche programme audiences, we are now getting massive support from the industry as well as from viewers," said programme producer and director Chris Gosling.
"Although we aim to help newcomers to caravans and motorhomes, our core audience are a very well-informed and expert cross-section of outdoor people who make serious use of their recreational time," he added. "Many of our audience change their caravans or motorhome every two to five years, as well as spending widely on accessories, services and campsites, and they find The Caravan Channel's mix of news, information, and background detail suits their needs."
The Caravan Channel is broadcast by Information TV on Sky channel 166 and Freesat 402. It can also be seen online via the Caravan Channel website at standard broadcast times - Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 7pm.
There's a new programme every two weeks, which then shows 8 times until the next programme is due - changeover day is every 2nd Wednesday.
